“I’ll fight for those at risk of being locked out of Sydney by a crisis of affordability–because I’m one of them. I know what it will take to make Sydney fairer, for all.”
I understand the power of government to transform lives, because I’ve lived it. I was raised by a single mum in public housing. Life wasn’t always easy, but that experience taught me the importance of resilience, it made me understand the power of education and it instilled an instinct for fairness in me.
My career spans national policy advocacy and innovative tech solutions for disability support. With experience working for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Bill Shorten, I understand what it takes to be an effective champion of social change and economic fairness.
I’m passionate about Sydney. I chose to make my home here ten years ago and there’s nowhere I’d rather live. This city has given me so much and now I want to give back to this place and the people who live here. My vision for Sydney is a city with equality and opportunity for all.
OUR PLATFORM
When I talk with Sydneysiders, the same issues come up again and again. They want a city that’s more affordable, a Council they can rely on to deliver the basics, a re-energised nightlife and a vibrant cultural scene.
Affordability
Housing affordability in Sydney is suffering due to inaction by Clover Moore’s Council. With ample funds available, they are not addressing the issue adequately. A Labor-led Council will act decisively by increasing developer levies, strengthening planning rules, and enhancing the Affordable and Diverse Housing Fund.
Services
Under Clover Moore, basic Council services, like garbage collection, have declined because she is addicted to outsourcing and privatisation. A Labor-led Council will turn this around, focus on getting the basics right, and deliver great Council services for all.
VIBRANCY
Sydney’s once vibrant nightlight has flickered out on Clover Moore’s watch - venue closures, empty shopfronts and a city ruled by the fun police.
A Labor-led Council will get our nightlife firing again, support a more dynamic cultural sector and cut the red tape that’s poisoning the life of our city.
